IONA: The High Crosses

As a week for former staff of the Iona Community draws to an end: a  poetic tribute to the island and to all those who keep the worship and activities of the community alive and a painting of The Sound
The High Crosses
Sculptors of the Crosses high
incised with skilled intricacy
the path of life's eternity,
co-mingled with the covenants
which Christ redeemed
at Calvary.
