This is the second in a short series of poems under the theme "Beyond the Farthest Mortal Eye Can Scan.' A link to the first will be found at the end of this poem
Might there be a pristine wilderness
Might there be a pristine wilderness
In the cosmic height?
World predating sentient beings
Bathed in gentle light.
Creatured with the strangest beauties,
Fleet of foot and fair in flight.
Harmony might be the watchword
On this far off globe:
Flora yielding all the nutrients
In this peaced abode.
There no envy, no aggression,
Lust and greed, entire unknowns.
If in time a human presence
Chances to alight
On this hospitable planet,
Will they start to fight?
Put at risk the tranquil ambience
