A Prayer for Understanding New Knowledge

It's easy to be overawed by the themes and discoveries of modern science. If you are, this short prayer might be for you

Almighty and Eternal God,
You have given the night, not only for rest, but to draw us into exploration of the near and far reaches of the universe. We gaze with awe at the immensity of it and glorify you for the wonders it reveals.
Teach us to understand you better through the repositories of new knowledge our searching lays bare and help us to recognize that the mighty forces at work in the cosmos are a manifestation of your love.
