Joseph
and Jealousy. (Biased Pass the Parcel)
If speaking about the selling of Joseph
into slavery (Genesis 37:18-28), get a flavour of real jealousy and anger by
playing ‘Pass the Parcel’ and
stopping it at the same child every time. The children will be furious – and so
will many of the congregation – so be prepared for that. We calmed things down
by making the central gift a box of sweets with big instructions on the lid –
‘Share these with all those who have played the game with you’ and making sure
there were not too many previous stops/ unwrappings of the parcel.
