LITTLE CANTICLE 126
O Almighty God, Sovereign Creator of the Universe, help us to cast our praise loose among the stars, the planets, the moons, the galaxies, the nebulae and every pathway through the skies: that it may echo around Your very throne in Heaven.
May it join with the music of the spheres and the sweet songs of a billion planets to be a prayer acceptable to You; You, who created the cosmic avenues and highways and set their inhabitants around them.
May it resonate amidst the hills and valleys with shapes so wonderful, so lovely and so awesome that they could only have been sculpted by the forces that respond to your Your loving hands.
May it skim the surface of the strangest seas and call their creatures to make it a celestial love song to our God, who brought the cosmos from nothing.
May it make unimagined skies burst forth in jubilation, with inconceivable clouds dancing to the sound of Your praise.
May it stream its way through the tracks of every unfamiliar terrain, to be caught into the ultimate praise of the Heavenly celebration.
May it become part of the glory that bursts from beyond the created order, rendered ceaselessly by the Heavenly choir, endlessly where time and space have no meaning.
Where Your glory resonates throughout eternity: where unknown singers gladly enhance the songs that have been set free into the byways and highways of the universe and co-mingle them with the songs of angels and of saints.
That is the praise, boundlessly giving glory to You who created all things; You who deserve the worship of every created being, now, in this tiny moment and in eternity.
Praise the Creator God, O my soul and give thanks for the wonder of His cosmic miracle.
