At the end of a week on the beautiful island of Iona looking at the Wonders of Creation - so now a lighthearted approach to helping preserve it - AND a challenge to Churches to witness to their neighbours as good stewards.

This could be incorporated into an end-of-term concert especially at Church Schools as a lighthearted way of bringing the voices of children and Parochial Church Council members (or their equivalent) together.

I am a rooftop,

pitched and south-facing,

over the nave of my parish church.

Please let me gather,

via solar panels,

sun’s rays to help with

saving the Earth.

 

I and my siblings

in ev’ry parish

could form long chains of

energy banks,

witnessing widely.

With far-sighted stewards,

sharing our blessings,

and giving God thanks!
