Fossils Are Fantastic! 'Sing of God and Science’ song. VERY ASSEMBLY/COLLECTIVE WORSHIP FRIENDLY

Here’s another ‘Sing of God and Science’ songs which are written to be Assembly-Friendly for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils. It is sung on You Tube by the composer, my friend Andrew Collier. (There is a link  below the words and the music score which you can access from here.)
Other Songs from the collection, written by local schools were sung at the Ely Science Festival in Ely cathedral on 24th May 2017. The graphic above is abstracted from the official logo for the Festival)

Fossils Are Fantastic

Fossils are fantastic,
They are so very old,
Things died and got stuck in the mud,
They’re awesome to behold.
There’s dinosaurs and insects
And bones and leaves and shells:
God’s prehistoric story,
Is an ancient truth to tell.

(Change tempo.)
Fo-ssils, telling us of yore,
The leaf and the insect and the dinosaur.
Fo-ssils, telling us of yore,
The leaf and the insect and the dinosaur.

Fo-ssils, telling us of yore,
The leaf and the insect and the dinosaur.
Fossils, telling us of yore,
The leaf and the insect and the dinosaur.

Fo-ssils, telling us of yore,
The leaf and the insect and the dinosaur.

The leaf and the insect and the dinosaur.
