Nebula

This entry celebrates the beauty of the images of those many swirls of gas that abound throughout the cosmos.

Nebula

Gases swirl,
fantastic shapes,
vast clouds
that coruscate
against a darkened void.

Stellar deaths
with herald light
form in
a wondrous sight
portending re-creation.

God’s own work:
this cosmic span
shone with
startling glory
once its transience began.

Some of the other  poems for the science-minded Christian on this site are
A Cosmic Labyrinth which celebrates two sciences and will progressively celebrate more
Stars and Planets Sing Your Glory which can be sung to Beethoven's magnificent 'Ode to Joy’
