Come praise The Lord: Potentate of Time.
Come praise The Lord,
the Potentate of Time;
the God of mighty space,
where suns align
their planets wondrously
in orbits close and far,
to feel the radiant heat
of their host star.
Come praise The Lord
who came to earth for me;
to this amazing world
to set us free
from death, the natural end
of all in time and space,
lifting our souls beyond,
into his grace.

Original introduction: Staying with friends in 2012 in their substantially rebuilt home that overlooks Robin Hood's Bay on the coast of the North York Moors National Park. Beautiful views across the headland and the bay from our bedroom window. But also a velux window over the bed. One night, I woke to find The constellation of Perseus perfectly framed in the velux window. As if that wasn't wonderful enough, a vivid shooting star flared from right to left across the window. We live in such a wonderful world and have the amazing capacity to celebrate the wonder and share it with others. I hope you can enjoy the brief celebration of some of that wonder in the following poem. (And here's the sketch of Perseus and the shooting star - Courtesy of ARTRAGE on my iPad)
