Last day of another stay on the #IsleOfIona and just ahead of #StColumbasDay - a reflection on the palaeontological shaping and location of this most beautiful place. (see link in last paragraph)
I was thrilled 25 years ago (1998) when my picture above, entitled “Wild Geese of Hy’ was chosen as the cover picture for ‘Chasing The Wild Goose’ a history of the #IonaCommunity. Iona residents and long-time visitors will recognise that this watercolour was painted before the tower was ‘capped’. The book is still being sold with this picture on the cover: must have been a very long print-run!
