As We Grow Up: SING OF GOD AND SCIENCE (Formerly HOMESCHOOL HELP): Song No 13

This is the thirteenth song written for primary age children so they can be encouraged to think about science as part of God’s creation and to look at how the sciences can help us understand the glory of that creation.

The songs are easy to learn and easy to sing because most of them have tunes that will be recognised. The scientific basis has been checked by well-qualified scientists to give anyone who uses them confidence. We hope you will enjoy the songs. If you should feel daunted by the possibility of being asked questions you can’t answer, you may find Keynotes and FAQs helpful

If you enjoy this song, please pass it to other parents, teachers, youth leaders, carers you feel might also find it helpful.

As We Grow Up (We can be champions for the earth):
Homeschool Song No 13

As we grow up we can be
champions for the earth,
with scientists to help us see
what gives the earth its worth.
By using water, sun and wind
for power, gas can be stopped
that otherwise will definitely
make the world too hot.

Chorus:
So may God
help us see
just how wise we need to be.

As we grow up we can be
wise and make the world
a better place for you and me,
a real joy to behold.
By making sure that beauty's more
thought about than cash
and stuff - that we'll just throw away
and fill landfllls with trash.

Chorus:
So may God
help us see
just how wise we need to be

As we grow up we can try
ever to build peace
thinking how the world might be
from poverty released;
by being gen'rous, loving, kind,
ensuring all can feed,
and challenging injustices
That come from other’s greed

Chorus:
So may God
help us see
Just how wise we need to be.
