Night Prayer

After a week in which evening offices and vigils followed each other daily, it felt good to post a simple night prayer with a couple of images that were each delightfully relevant in their own ways.

Beautiful picture of
Moon through tree on leaving
church Maundy Thursday.

Night Prayer.

Lord enfold me in your presence,
bid my busy mind ‘Be Still’.
Let me rest in holy radiance;
with your love, my being fill.

Jesus, let your Holy Spirit
dwell in every breath I take:
strengthen me for giving service
in the morning when I wake.

The second image may look like the moon without feature  but is actually a serendipitous picture of a candle taken from a few centimetres above with unexpected radiance around it

Candle from above with unexpected radiance.
