Joy of Encounter

The onset of even a short spell of hard weather brings visitors to our bird feeders, including the occasional beautifully coloured goldfinch. Seeing one at the beginning of 2019 reminded me of this short prayer-poem that I wrote some little while ago:

Joy of Encounter.

Lord Jesus Christ,

I thank you

for those awesome moments 

of encountering

something in nature

that no mortal

would ever have dreamed

of creating.
